Pretty Polly Confirmed For Oaks Winner

Wednesday, 22nd June 2016

Star filly Minding (Galileo-Lillie Langtry, by Danehill Dancer) will drop down in trip when she contests Sunday's Gr1 Pretty Polly Stakes (2000m) at The Curragh, reports At the Races. A last-start winner of the Epsom Oaks over 2400 metres, the Aidan O'Brien-trained 3YO will be shooting for her fifth Gr1 success following her brilliant first-up win in the English 1,000 Guineas, and her wins in the Moyglare Stud Stakes and Fillies' Mile as a juvenile. "We will probably run Minding in the Pretty Polly," O'Brien said. "I have been happy with her since the Oaks and providing everything goes well between now and the weekend, she will run in the Pretty Polly." Crowned champion 2YO filly of Europe last year, Minding has won 5 of her 8 starts for £1,066,578 in prize money.
