Light Spring For Fell Swoop

Friday, 24th June 2016

Trainer Matthew Dale says that talented Canberra sprinter Fell Swoop (Not a Single Doubt-Touched in Flight, by Fasliyev) will be restricted to a light spring campaign which is likely to kick off in either the Gr1 Moir Stakes (1000m) or Gr2 Schillaci Stakes (1100m) in Melbourne, reports ANZ Bloodstock News. Fell Swoop, a winner of 9 of his 16 starts including the Gr2 Victory Stakes in Brisbane, hasn't raced since finishing sixth in the Gr1 Doomben 10,000 (1350m) on 28 May. “He’s going to have a pretty light spring,” Dale told Sky Sports Radio. “It looks like he will have about three runs. The most likely option for him first up will be the Moir Stakes or the Schillaci Stakes.”
