Tattersalls July Sale Stakes Double In Australia

Graduates from the Tattersalls July Sale achieved a Group/Listed double at Eagle Farm Racecourse in Brisbane on Saturday. The first leg of the double was taken out by the Chris Waller-trained Index Linked which won the Gr3 Tattersall's Cup Handicap over 2200m under the guidance of Hugh Bowman. The son of Dansili, from the family of fellow Gr3 winners Memorise and Multiplex, was bought at the Tattersalls July Sale by Mick Flanagan's Townley Hall Bloodstock for 26,000 guineas from Juddmonte Farms. Earlier in the card, Waller also trained Tales Of Grimm to victory in the Listed Spear Chief Handicap over 1500m with Kerrin McEvoy on board. The full-brother to Gr2 Zabeel Mile winner Do It All by WinStar Farm's Distorted Humor was bought at the Tattersalls July Sale by Sam Kavanagh for 75,000 guineas.
