Maher Happy With Bon Aurum

Wednesday, 5th October 2016

Trainer Ciaron Maher says he is delighted with in form galloper Bon Aurum (Bon Hoffa-Goldsmobile, by Promontory Gold) after he worked at Caulfield yesterday. Fresh from a maiden Gr1 success in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield 12 days ago, the 4YO will be seeking consecutive top flight victories in Saturday's Toorak Handicap (1600m) at Caulfield. "He worked really well," Maher told Melbourne's Radio Sport National. "He's in great order and ticking over nicely. Out to a mile on Saturday there is a bit to like about him on his home track." Bon Aurum is aiming to become just the 10th horse to complete the Rupert Clarke-Toorak double on the weekend.
