Tattersalls October Book-1 Sets New Record
At the completion of the final session of the annual Tattersalls October Book-1 Yearling Sale last night, a further four lots broke the million guineas mark to take the overall number to seven that topped the elusive barrier at the sale. The three days of selling produced an aggregate spend of just over 88 million guineas from the 386 lots sold, setting a new European turnover record which eclisped that set last year. The sale averaged 228,078 guineas, and the median settled at 130,000 guineas.
