I'm A Chatterbox Wins Gr1 Spinster Stakes

Tuesday, 11th October 2016

At Keeneland in the US on Sunday, 4YO mare I'm A Chatterbox (Munnings-Chit Chatter, by Lost Soldier) showed she will be a force to be reckoned with in next month's Breeders' Cup Distaff when cruising to an effortless 7 length win for trainer Larry Jones in the US$500,000 Gr1 Spinster Stakes (9 furlongs) for 3YO+ fillies & mares, over fellow 4YO mare Paid Up Subscriber (Candy Ride-Shriek, by Street Cry) & 5YO mare Penwith (Bernardini-Composure, by Touch Gold). I'm A Chatterbox improved her record to 8 wins (including the Gr1 Delaware Handicap & Gr1 Cotillion Stakes) and 5 placings (including the Gr1 Kentucky Oaks & Gr1 Coaching Club American Oaks) from 16 starts for US$2,209614 earnings. "She ran really big. When it came time to run, she really exploded down the lane very nice," trainer Larry Jones told Blood Horse. "It seems like her numbers are getting better after every race, so I think she's at the peak right now. We hopefully have room for improvement."
