Terravista Wins Trial

Tuesday, 25th October 2016

Gr1-winning sprinter Terravista Captain Rio-Parfore, by Gold Brose) has tuned up for a possible spring cameo with an easy 760 metre barrier trial win at Warwick Farm yesterday, reports AAP. Trainer Joe Pride had originally intended to give the 7YO an extended break so he could properly recover from the feet issues which have plagued him the past few seasons. However, Pride is now considering a belated spring appearance in the Listed GH Mumm Stakes (1000m) at Flemington on Oaks Day [Thursday] next week. "I've had this race in the back of my mind for the last month or so. He's been coming along nicely and I'm more than happy to give him his chance over 1000 metres," Pride told racing.com. "It will be interesting to see what lines up against him, but the horse is in good order and I'm sure that he'll race well."
