Treve Sibling Set For Debut

Wednesday, 26th October 2016

Terre (Motivator-Trevise, by Anabaa), a 2YO full sister to champion French mare Treve, is set to make her debut for trainer Criquette Head-Maarek in the Prix Douve over 1600 metres at Saint-Cloud tonight, reports bloodstock.racingpost.com. Owned and bred by the Head family's Haras du Quesnay Terre, whose name in French means "land", was retained to race by her breeder when she failed to meet her €2 million reserve at last year's Arqana August Yearling Sale. Treve, who will best remembered as a two-time winner of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, retired in October last year with 9 wins - six at Gr1 level - from 13 starts for £5,939,665 earnings. She is one of only seven horses to have won Europe's weight-for-age championship twice.
