Xtravagant Making All The Right Moves
Dual Gr1 winner Xtravagant is thriving ahead of his summer campaign, reports NZ Racing Desk. The Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards-trained son of Pentire holds Gr1 nominations for the Railway Handicap at Ellerslie on 1st January, and the Gr1 Telegraph at Trentham three weeks later. "He's coming up really well and he'll trial at Te Aroha on December 13 before any plans are firmed up for him," Te Akau racing manager Brad Taylor said. Xtravagant (Pentire-Axiom, by Zabeel) was a shadow of his former self in his two Australian starts in the spring, finishing towards the tail of the field in both the Gr2 Bobbie Lewis Quality and the Gr1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes in Melbourne.
