Highclere's Foundation Joins Lindsay Park Team

Tuesday, 6th December 2016

Gr2 Royal Lodge Stakes winner Foundation (Zoffany-Roystonea, by Polish Precedent) is the latest horse to join the roster of Highclere Australia. The one-time Derby favourite and Gr1 Racing Post trophy placegetter arrived at Lindsay Park in early November after completing his quarantine and is now in the care of Hall of Fame trainer, David Hayes. "We are thrilled to be given the opportunity to train Foundation for Highclere and their owners. He is clearly a high-class racehorse and if he can bring his best form to Australia he will be competitive in our feature races here," Hayes said. Highclere Thoroughbred Racing Chairman & Founder, Harry Herbert hopes that a change of environment at Hayes' state-of-the-art training facilities at Lindsay Park, Euroa, will help Foundation recapture the form that saw him rated among Europe's best two-year-old colts in 2015. "We have enjoyed some wonderful moments in Australia over the past few years and hope that Foundation will continue to fly the flag for Highclere under David's care," Herbert said.
