Music Magnate Back In Work

Tuesday, 6th December 2016

Top sprinter Music Magnate (Written Tycoon-Concert Girl, by Danehill Dancer) has returned to the stable of trainer Bjorn Baker and is being set for the Gr1 TJ Smith Stakes in the autumn. The Doomben 10,000 winner, who missed the spring after spiking a fever, hasn't raced since finishing at the tail of the field in the Gr1 Stradbroke Handicap on 11 June. "The form around him seems to have held up pretty well through the spring carnival, so I think we have to aim big and if it doesn't work out we've always got other options and could potentially head back up to Brisbane," Baker told racing.com. "He's been back in work for a couple of weeks and we're very happy with him." he added: "The horse looks great and he's moving well and I'm very much looking forward to seeing him back on the track." The $2.5 million Gr1 TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) will be run at royal Randwick on 1 April.
