Black Caviar Daughter Set For Jump-Out
Oscietra, the first foal of champion sprinter Black Caviar, will make her first public appearance when she contests an 800 metre jump-out at Flemington on Friday, reports racing.com. Named after one of the world's most prized and expensive types of caviar, the 2YO Exceed And Excel filly is in training with the Lindsay Park team of David & Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig. "I don't think anything will keep us away from watching her," co-owner Neil Werrett told Melbourne's Radio Sport National yesterday. "It will be pretty exciting to be there and see her in her jump-out. Luke Nolen will be riding so we are looking forward to it." Werrett said it was possible that Oscietra could make her eagerly awaited debut as early as New Years Day. "Providing she comes out and trials nicely, I think we will all be very pleased," he said. "If all things go well on Friday, David is planning on giving her an official trial at Tatura in about 10 days' time." He added: "Then there are a couple of races there for her, maybe even New Years Day. There's a fillies race at Flemington, and there's another race at Moonee Valley around the same time."
