Australian Sires Premiership Update

After nearly nineteen weeks of the 2016-17 racing season, Darley's deceased shuttler & Gr1 Dubai World Cup winner Street Cry maintains a significant lead at the top of the national sires leader board with progeny earnings in excess of $5.8 million. Courtesy of Almandin's victory in the Melbourne Cup, outstanding but ill-fated German stallion Monsun occupies second position with $4.48 million in earnings, while Arrowfield Stud's multiple stakes-winning stallion Not A Single Doubt rounds out the top three with $4.4 million. Entering the top ten is Widden Stud's Stratum whose son Takedown captured last weekend's $1 million Gr1 Winterbottom Stakes in Perth. The Top Ten stallion rankings (according to arion.co.nz as at 8 December) are:
