Storm The Stars Transferred To Germany

Tuesday, 13th December 2016

Storm The Stars will continue his racing career under the care of German trainer Andreas Wohler, reports Racing Post. Owner Sheikh Juma Dalmook al Maktoum is hoping the move will eventually lead to career at stud for the well bred son of Sea The Stars. Bred in Kentucky by Summer Wind Farm, Storm The Stars is out of the Sadler's Wells mare Love Me Only, an unraced half-sister to champion racehorse and leading sire Giant's Causeway as well as You'resothrilling, the dam of three-time Gr1-winning champion miler Gleneagles and 1,000 Guineas winner Marvellous. Despite winning just 3 of his 17 starts, Storm The Stars has displayed plenty of ability winning the Gr2 Great Voltigeur Stakes at York, and placing twice at Gr1 level in the English Derby behind Golden Horn, and the Grand Prix de Paris behind Erupt. Most recently Storm The Stars enjoyed a six-start campaign in Australia with champion trainer Chris Waller which yielded two Gr2 placings in the Chelmsford Stakes (1600m) and Hill Stakes (2000m) at Royal Randwick in Sydney.
