Sydney Beckons Vega Magic

Tuesday, 13th December 2016

The connections of Vega Magic (Lope de Vega-Admirable, by Magic Albert) have confirmed that the classy West Australian sprinter will head east in search of further black-type riches in the autumn, reports the West Australian. Vega Magic, who hails from the family of Golden Slipper winner Century Miss, improved his impressive record to 9 wins from 14 starts when scoring a comfortable win in last weekend's Gr3 AJ Scahill Stakes (1400m) at Ascot. "He deserves a chance against top interstate opposition," said co breeder-owner Wally Daly. "We'll be going all-out to ensure he gets every opportunity to show his best." He added: "We're keen to race Vega Magic at weight-for-age on Sydney tracks, rather than have him solidly burdened in handicaps."
