Racing NSW Invokes Hot Weather Policy

Wednesday, 14th December 2016

Stewards have invoked level 1 of Racing NSW's Hot Weather Policy for today's race meeting at Warwick Farm with temperatures in Sydney set to soar beyond 35 degrees Celsius. The policy is put in place to protect the welfare of and minimize the effects on both horse and rider during hot summer days at all New South Wales race venues. Heat stress in horses is most likely to occur on days when the ambient temperature is 35°C or above. Click here to view the Racing NSW Hot Weather Policy.
