Jukebox On Track For Diamond

Tuesday, 7th February 2017

The Ciaron Maher stable has reported that unbeaten colt Jukebox (Snitzel-Jestatune, by Rory's Jester) has pulled up well following his easy win in the Listed (R) Inglis 2YO Premier (1200m) at Caulfield on Saturday. The 2YO, who will not run again until the $1.5 million Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m), is currently an equal $6.50 Tab favourite with Formality for Victoria's richest juvenile race at Caulfield on 25 February. "He's always been very professional; a natural two-year-old," David Eustace, assistant trainer to Ciaron Maher, told Melbourne's Radio Sport National yesterday. "He went to the beach yesterday morning [Sunday] and ate up overnight so he has come out of the race well so hopefully we can keep him in that sort of form in three weeks time." He added: "I think there is a fair bit of improvement to come. He had a good blow after Saturday. He's a very athletic colt who doesn't require a lot of work...we'll just give him an easy time leading into the Diamond."
