Dunn Has Faith In Chautauqua

Thursday, 9th February 2017

Chautauqua's regular rider Dwayne Dunn is confident the mighty grey sprinter can return to his breathtaking best this season starting with Saturday's Gr2 Rubiton Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield. Chautauqua, currently rated the World's Best Sprinter, failed to fire in two starts in the spring, but Dunn says he has given every indication that he is back to his best. "I think he is back to his old self, he has got those few little signs he has got to show you and he has definitely showed me that," Dunn told Racing.com. "His trial was fantastic, he went through the wire really nicely." He added: "I think I'm like everyone else, we all want to see him back, he has been the world's best sprinter and we want to see him back in the form that he was. I've got no doubt he can do it, hopefully on Saturday he stamps his authority."
