Extreme Choice Wins Jump-Out

Wednesday, 15th February 2017

Extreme Choice defeated Gr3 winner Charmed Harmony in a jump-out at Caulfield yesterday as he prepares to kick off his autumn campaign in the Gr1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) at Caulfield on Blue Diamond day (25 February), reports ANZ Bloodstock News. “It was perfect and he’s ready to go now,” said Luke Wilkinson, bloodstock manager for trainer Mick Price. “He jumped and settled handy to the speed with Charmed Harmony and with about 300 metres to go Craig [jockey Craig Newitt] asked him to extend and he put a length on Charmed Harmony and then cruised to the line in the last 50 metres.” A dual Gr1 winner of Blue Diamond Stakes and Moir Stakes, Extreme Choice (Not A Single Doubt) has not raced since finishing fifth behind stable-mate Flying Artie in the Gr1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) in the spring.
