Well Related Hypnotist Wins On Debut

Friday, 17th February 2017

Valuable and well bred colt Hypnotist made a pleasing debut when scoring a hard fought 0.3 length win in the Hunter Land Rover 2YO Maiden Handicap (1350m) at Newcastle yesterday. Trained by Peter & Paul Snowden, Hypnotist races in the dark green and gold epaulettes silks made famous by Golden Slipper winner Capitalist on behalf of James Harron Bloodstock. Harron purchased Hypnotist for $240,000 at the 2016 NZ Bloodstock Premier Yearling Sale from the draft of Highview Stud. "Hypnotist has been showing us at home that he's going to get over ground," Harron told Sky Racing. "Today was a bit of a learning experience. He's just filling into himself now and looks like he will appreciate even further than today down the track. He looks like a next time round horse." Indeed, a perusal of Hypnotist's pedigree suggests he will only get better as he steps up in journey. By Snitzel out of the Pins mare My Amazing Dream, Hypnotist hails from the family of English Oaks and English 1000 Guineas winner Midway Lady, dam of fellow English Oaks winner Eswarah.
