Jukebox Cleared To Run

Friday, 3rd March 2017

Racing NSW Stewards yesterday received veterinary clearance from Dr Peter Angus certifying that Victorian 2YO Jukebox is clear to race in either the Gr2 Todman Stakes (1200m) at Randwick tomorrow, or the Gr3 Black Opal Stakes (1200m) at Canberra on Sunday. The Ciaron Maher-trained colt has accepted for both races as he looks to qualify for next month's $3.5 million Gr1 Golden Slipper. Racing Victoria stewards ordered the withdrawal of the unbeaten colt from last weekend's $1.5 million Gr1 Blue Diamond after he failed to pass vet inspection. Jukebox will be examined again by Racing NSW Senior Official Veterinarian Dr Craig Suann this afternoon (Friday).
