Gunnison Wins Gr2 Todman Stakes

Monday, 6th March 2017

At Royal Randwick in Sydney, Arrowfield Stud's multiple stakes-winning stallion Not A Single Doubt (Redoute's Choice-Single's Bar, by Rory's Jester) added a Group success when 2YO chestnut gelding Gunnison (Not a Single Doubt-Colorado Claire, by Hussonet) won bravely by 0.1 length for trainers Peter & Paul Snowden in the $302,000 Gr2 Todman Stakes (1200m) for 2YO colts & geldings, over stable-mate Invader (Snitzel-Flame of Sydney, by Encosta de Lago) & Godolphin runner Veranillo (Medaglia d'Oro-Shelters, by Lonhro). An expensive $850,000 purchase by James Harron Bloodstock at last year's Inglis Easter Yearling Sale from the draft of Arrowfield Stud, Gunnison now takes his record to 2 wins from 2 starts and $196,600 in earnings. Not a Single Doubt has nicked well previously with this family having produced Gr3 MVRC Champagne winning mare Selenia from a sister to Colorado Claire.
