Well Bred Filly Set for Debut

Wednesday, 15th March 2017

Valuable filly Ordos Honor is set to make her debut in a 2YO fillies maiden handicap over 1000 metres at Gosford today. Trained by Chris Waller, Ordos Honor races in the distinctive red and yellow starred silks of the China Horse Club who paid $600,000 for her at the 2016 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale from the draft of Newgate Farm. By former champion Australian sire Fastnet Rock (Danehill), Ordos Honor is out of the dual stakes winner Valourina (Snippets-Bravery) who was sold for $1.6 million as part of the Tyreel Stud reduction at the 2008 Inglis Broodmare Sale. Valourina, who is a daughter of dual Gr1-winning mare Bravery (1988 Queensland Derby and Queensland Oaks), has already produced Gr2 Magic Night Stakes winner Media (Gilded Time), Gr2 Wakeful Stakes winner Timbourina (Timber Country), and Listed Redelva Classic winner Cardinal Virtue (Elusive Quality).
