All in Readiness for Inglis March Sale
Stakes-placed mares in foal, stallion prospects and metropolitan winners are among a plethora of supplementary entries received for Friday's Inglis March Thoroughbred Sale in Melbourne. In total, 78 supplementary Lots have been received for the sale, taking the total amount of Lots to be offered to 186. Catalogue highlights include black-type winners such as Wales, Chivalry, Rugged Cross, Firehouse Rock, Armada and Golden Spin, Victorian metropolitan winners Barjeel and Astley, as well as an unraced 2YO half-brother to Caulfield Guineas winner Long John. The catalogue includes a mix of broodmares, racehorses, stallion prospects and yearlings. The March Thoroughbred Sale begins at 11am this coming Friday, March 17 at Oaklands Junction in Melbourne. Click here to view catalogue. Following the sale of the last Lot, attention will switch to Sydney for a big fortnight of auctions centred round the Australian Easter Yearling Sale. The inaugural The Chairman's Sale Session 1 (Elite Racing Prospects) kick-starts proceedings on Thursday April 30 at 6pm, where Inglis will offer individual horses or shares in a select group of thoroughbreds competing in Group races at the present time. Included in the catalogue are stakes performed 2YO Eden Roc and Sydney Cup contender Chance To Dance, 25% of Gr3-winning 3YO Man From Uncle, and 30% of Stakes-placed 3YO Land Of Plenty. Entries for this sale close Monday March 27. The Australian Easter Yearling Sale will then take centre stage over the three days of April 4-6. Then it's the Chairman's Sale Session II (Elite Breeding Prospects), offering top-class breeding prospects on and off the track, followed by the last ever sale at Newmarket – the Australian Broodmare & Weanling Sale from April 10-12.
