Hardham Wins Gr2 Alister Clark Stakes
At Moonee Valley in Melbourne on Friday night, Arrowfield Stud's multiple Champion Australian Sire Redoute's Choice (Danehill-Shantha's Choice, by Canny Lad) added a Group success when 3YO colt Hardham (Redoute's Choice-Nureyev's Girl, by Nureyev) scored by 0.75 length for trainer David Brideoake in the $200,000 Gr2 Alister Clark Stakes (2040m) for 3YOs, over fellow 3YO colt Ruthven (Domesday-Ruddigore, by Octagonal) & 3YO gelding Farson (Snitzel-Clear View, by Gallo di Ferro). Raced by a syndicate that includes Peter & Sarah Moody and Sir Patrick Hogan, Hardham advanced his record to 2 wins and 1 placing (the Gr3 MRC Vain Stakes) from 8 starts for $168,750 earnings. From the stakes-placed Nureyev mare Nureyev's Girl, Hardham is a full brother to the very talented mare and Gr1 New Zealand 1000 Guineas winner King's Rose.
