Australian Sires Premiership Update

After nearly thirty four weeks of the 2016-17 racing season, the stellar run of success enjoyed by Arrowfield Stud's high profile Gr1-winning stallion Snitzel continues apace with the son of Redoute's Choice becoming the first sire to break through the $10 million barrier in progeny earnings. Occupying second position is Darley's deceased shuttler & Gr1 Dubai World Cup winner Street Cry courtesy of his champion daughter Winx's sublime 7 length victory in the Gr1 George Ryder Stakes last weekend, while Coolmore's former champion Australian sire Fastnet Rock rounds out the top three with $8.7 million in earnings. According to arion.co.nz, the top 10 ranked stallions in Australia (as of 23 March) are:
