Jameka Autumn Campaign in Doubt

Tuesday, 28th March 2017

Jameka's autumn campaign may be over with news the star mare was found to be suffering from travel sickness upon her return to trainer Ciaron Maher's Caulfield stable yesterday morning, reports racingnsw.com.au. Maher said last Saturday's outstanding Gr1 The BMW winner had received treatment but that no firm decision has been made in respect to her next race start. Jameka, who was being aimed at the $4 million Gr1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) on the final day of The Championships before embarking on an international campaign, will have to gain a veterinary clearance before she is permitted to race again.
