Weir Stable-Mates Well Ahead of Doncaster

Tuesday, 28th March 2017

Meanwhile, Darren Weir will attempt to end rival champion trainer Chris Waller's domination of the Doncaster Mile at Royal Randwick on Saturday, reports racing.com. Waller has won six of the past nine editions of the $3 million Gr1 feature, including the last four runnings.  Weir will saddle up stable-mates Palentino and Tosen Stardom who ran the quinella in the Gr2 Blamey Stakes (1600m) at Flemington last start. "They're both going really well and couldn't be happier with them but it's going to be some sort of race and these races are never easy to win," he said. Palentino and Tosen Stardom are $15 and $26 respectively in early tab markets.
