Swettenham Announces 2017 Stud Fees

Leading Victorian thoroughbred nursery Swettenham Stud has announced its 2017 stallion roster. Appealing to breeders nationally and supporting breeders locally, its high-class sire line-up will offer speed and stamina, value and quality, with colonial and international bloodlines. Adam Sangster, Principal of Swettenham Stud, is delighted about the stallions he is presenting to breeders this year. “We have gathered highly appealing commercial bloodlines, both International and domestic for our breeders, allowing them access to the important four Ps; Pedigree, Performance, Presence and Price.” Commenting on Swettenham’s new recruits for 2017, Sangster said, “We are thrilled to stand a sprinter of the calibre and toughness of Rebel Dane, and the preeminent son of Medaglia d’Oro, Mshawish, at Swettenham, and it is a real credit to all staff and operations involved at the farm.” All GST inclusive, the 2017 Swettenham line-up comprises the following stallions:

  • Americain (Dynaformer-America, by Arazi) $11,000 
  • Mshawish (Medaglia d'Oro-Thunder Bayou, by Thunder Gulch) $16,500 
  • Puissance De Lune (Shamardal-Princess Serena, by Unbridled's Song) $8,800
  • Rebel Dane (California Dane-Texarcana, by More Than Ready) $12,500
  • Toronado (High Chaparral-Wana Doo, by Grand Slam) $22,000
  • Trust In A Gust (Keep the Faith-Subtle Breeze, by Storm Cat) $11,000
