Thousand Guineas Target for Perth Filly

Thursday, 3rd August 2017

Stakes winning WA filly Seannie will make her eastern states debut for new trainers Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young in the Gr3 Quezette Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on 19 August, reports the West Australian. "She'll run first-up in the Quezette and the goal is the Thousand Guineas," owner Brett Fogart said. "There are better opportunities for her over there [in Melbourne]." A winner of 2 of her 4 starts to date, Seannie landed the Listed Supremacy Stakes at just her second career outing before rounding out her juvenile season with third and sixth placings in the Gr3 WATC Gimcrack Stakes and Gr2 Karrakatta Plate respectively. By Sebring out of the Choisir mare Uncanny Choice, Seannie hails from the family of Australian, VRC, and Queensland Derby winner November Rain, and multiple stakes-winning sprinter Dubleanny.
