New $1M Development for Bordertown Racing Club

Friday, 4th August 2017

Following the confirmation of a successful application to the Federal Government's Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) initiative, Thoroughbred Racing SA (TRSA) yesterday announced a $989,000 development of a new Racing and Community Function Centre at Bordertown. "This is wonderful news for the community and following on from the Mt Gambier announcement TRSA is delighted that the Federal Government has once again recognised the importance of the racing industry in regional South Australia," said TRSA Chair Frances Nelson QC. The development of the new Racing and Community Function Centre will provide brand new race day facilities for stewards, jockeys and patrons. The two-story complex will also have the ability to cater for non-race day sit down functions of up to 150 people upstairs and 75 people downstairs, making it an integral component for the continued growth of the region.
