Black Caviar Daughter Back on Friday
Oscietra, the first foal of world champion sprinter Black Caviar, is likely to kick off her 3YO season at Geelong this Friday, reports racenet. The 3YO Exceed And Excel filly, who is named after one of the world's most prized and expensive types of caviar, continues to impress in her lead-up work winning her second 800m jump-out at Flemington on Friday. "Luke (Nolen) was really happy with her and provided she pulls up well and eats this week she will resume at Geelong on the all-weather," said David Hayes, who trains the high profile filly in partnership with his son Ben and nephew Tom Dabernig. "We took her there for a jump-out and she loved it and works well on it [the synthetic track] at home so we'll probably kick her off next Friday." Oscietra has had just the one start when finishing third over 1000m at Flemington on New Year's Day.
