Blue Blood to Make Presence Felt

Tuesday, 15th August 2017

Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards are hoping that a unraced blue blood can live up to her rich pedigree this season, reports NZ Racing Desk. By former champion sire Fastnet Rock, the yet to be named 3YO filly is out of the US mare Forest Native (Forest Wildcat), making her a full-sister to Newgate Farms Gr1 William Reid Stakes winning stallion Foxwedge. "She won both of her trials in the autumn and unfortunately she then got held up with a little injury," Richards said. "She's very sharp and will be back in the stable in the first week of September. She'll then hopefully be out in the late spring or early summer." The filly is owned by Coolmore Stud.
