Entries Close This Friday for NZB Ready To Run Sale
Entries are closing soon for New Zealand Bloodstock's Ready to Run Sale of Two-Year-Olds with a deadline of this Friday, 18 August. The 35th New Zealand Bloodstock Ready to Run Sale at Karaka is set to showcase the top-quality racehorses that a truly international buying bench has come to revere. An unmatched record of success on the track has seen an impressive 62 graduates of the Ready to Run Sale win 110 stakes races over the past five seasons. This includes a staggering 19 Group One wins in the same period. The $20 million mark was surpassed for the second time in the Sale's history last year with an aggregate of $28,393,000 reached for 294 horses sold. The average climbed to $96,575, surpassing 2015's record of $92,002 by 5%, while the median increased to $70,000, up 17% from the record of $60,000 set at the previous two editions of the Sale. Flying the flag for the Ready to Run Sale this season were New Zealand Derby & Rosehill Guineas hero Gingernuts and Gr1 Levin Classic winner Hall of Fame, both purchased by Te Akau Racing at the 2015 Sale. Star graduates include Listed Patron's Bowl and Steward's Cup winner Alibi, Singapore 3YO Classic and 3YO Sprint winner Countofmontecristo, Gold Cup and El Dorado Classic winner Bahana, and 2017 Singapore Horse of the Year Debt Collector, winner of the Raffles Cup, Kranji Mile and Jumbo Jet Trophy.
