Large Godolphin Consignment Headlines Inglis August Sale
With inspections underway yesterday at Inglis' Oaklands Junction headquarters, today's August Thoroughbred Sale has been spiced by enticing 33 horse consignment by international powerhouse Godolphin. Although many of the fillies and mares are either unraced or moderately performed, their pedigrees are brimming with black-type and featuring the caliber of Ortensia and Pierro. The female contingent on offer are by household sires such as Authorized, Street Cry, Lonhro and Medaglia d'Oro and are a vehicle for the astute breeder to tap into some elite families with serious residual value. Godolohin will also be offering a selection of geldings, including five-time winning Medaglia d'Oro gelding Reincarnate, from a half-sister to Gr1 Coolmore Stud Stakes winner Japonisme. The Greendale Trust will also feature in proceedings with yearlings by Puissance de Lune and The Factor and mares in foal to Toronado, Reset and Reward for Effort. Swettenham Stud will also be represented with 10 lots, all in-foal mares, with Blackfriar's Redoute's Choice half-sister Lanesborough among them, carrying a positive to Toronado. The sale commences at 10.30am and includes 224 lots. A First Season Sire parade will precede the sale in the main auditorium at 10am.
