Clear Thinking (Dubawi-Sweet Idea, by Snitzel) is gearing up for a shot at the $2 million The Kosciuszko after maintaining her unbeaten streak with an impressive TAB Highway victory at Randwick, reports racingnsw.com.au. Despite slipping at the start and encountering traffic in the straight, reminiscent of It's Me's 2020 Kosciuszko triumph, the four-year-old surged late to clinch victory and a hat trick. She edged out Tanglewood (Smart Missile) by a half-neck, with Lisztomania (Dream Ahead) a further long neck behind over 1200m. Co-trainer Paul Messara praised Clear Thinking's talent, indicating she deserves a break before potentially tackling The Kosciuszko, pending selection in the sweepstakes. Following her win, she moved to the second line of betting at $8 with TAB for the October 19 race. Reflecting on the race, Messara noted, "She's been a complete surprise for us, and where she goes from here will be another bonus." Jockey Zac Lloyd highlighted Clear Thinking's resilience after the early slip, marvelling at her ability to navigate traffic in a slowly run race. Tickets for The Kosciuszko, where 14 winners will be selected from $5 entries, are available until September 9 through TAB outlets, apps, pubs, clubs, and race meetings, with the draw on September 11.
