NEW: Coming Soon to Black Type Racing for 2024-25

That (see above Group 1 achievements by Arrowfield Stud and Segenhoe Stud) dovetails into the announcement that Black Type Racing will soon be adding three important additions to the Australian Black Type Premiership. The first is an elite Black Type Group 1 Premiership, a celebration of the best-of-the-best that will include runners, stallions, dams, trainers, jockeys and vendors. Technical gremlins not withstanding, this will not just be applicable to the 2024-2025 season but will also provide a retrospective All Seasons lens through which to view aggregate performances across all applicable categories. The remaining two additions will be, for the first time, an Australian Black Type First Season Sire Pemiership (2YOs) as well as a Second Season Sire Premiership which includes both the latter category’s new season 2YO and 3YO performances. They, with the existing Black Type Stallion Premiership and Black Type 2YO Sire Premiership, will provide four individual yardsticks through which to measure proven and emerging stallion talent. Information is purportedly the new currency, and whilst the Black Type Premiership certainly provides a broad canvas snapshot of industry success, the platform’s growing history and treasure trove of explorable data makes it the go-to source for stakes race information in Australia.
