Home to Champion Sire I Am Invincible, sire of 17 Group 1 winners, Yarraman Park Stud's three stallions are all Gr1 sires. Vinnie, as he's affectionately known in Australia, is growing a reputation as a sire of sires with the exciting Home Affairs looking to join proven Gr1 sires Hellbent and Brazen Beau. Hellbent is enjoying a brilliant season with exciting juvenile Zip Lock winning the Gr3 BJ McLachlan Stakes, and he heads to the R.Listed Magic Millions 2YO Classic, while assisting Hellbent to the number one position of the Australian Champion 2YO Sire table before the New Year began. Hellbent's pair of Gr1 winners are the tough mares Magic Time and Benedetta. Hellbent is beginning to fashion a reputation in Hong Kong with Invincible Ibis standing out as one of the leading contenders for the all important 4YO Series. Brave Smash was an incredibly tough racehorse, winning from two to six across Japan and Australia, and he's transferring that ability to his progeny who are led by Gr1 winner Kimochi. "Situated on 1500 hectares of mineral-rich, undulating country in the Hunter Valley, Yarraman Park boasts a carefully managed environment with large, well-maintained paddocks. The farm's natural limestone foundation is renowned for producing strong, sound racehorses." Yarraman Park Stud's history dates back over 100 years when William Thompson, brother to John Thompson of Widden Stud, established the farm. Yarraman Park Stud first offered yearlings at the Inglis Easter sale in 1916 through to 1936 before the farm was sold and used as a dairy farm until champion jockey George Moore owned the farm for a decade or so. Yarraman Park Stud once again turns up in the Inglis Easter records from 1963 to now, having been bought by Major James "J.D." Mitchell in 1968. In 2010, the farm's fortunes turned steeply upwards with the arrival of I Am Invincible. "As soon as he came out of the box we said, 'Yep, we're going to stand this horse'. He was a fast horse, but he was just so good looking. He was then and is now, a magnificent horse. The rest has been incredible history," Arthur Mitchell said. A relationship with globally renowned Shadwell Farm has also been fruitful for the farm, with the likes of Enbihaar, Rimraam, Madeenaty, Zamzam and Minhaaj coming off the property as well as champions Rafeef, Mustaaqeem, Majmu and Entisaar in South Africa. With Zip Lock and city winner Fireball leading the current juveniles sold by Yarraman Park, the current crop of 3YOs include Gr1-placed Hidden Achievement, Gr3 winners Point Barrow and Jimmy Recard, and Listed winners Hi Barbie and Brave Design. Australia's best maiden Sylph, who runs in the $3 million Sunlight, has been Listed placed at her last two starts, and was retained to race by Yarraman Park Stud. Yarraman Park will present a draft of 36 yearlings at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale. They will also offer 22 yearlings at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale and 13 at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale. Looking further afield, Yarraman Park Stud is always a significant presence at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale.
