  • Gold Coast HIT Sale Set To Fire

    Monday, 12th October 2026

The scene is set for Monday’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Horses in Training Sale following three strong breeze-up sessions across the Gold Coast and Scone, with a catalogue boasting youngsters by 77 individual sires and an increasingly sophisticated level of performance data available to prospective buyers. The auction, scheduled to begin at 3.30pm Queensland time, has been preceded by breeze-ups on September 22, September 30 and October 8, giving buyers the opportunity to assess not only raw times but also stride length, frequency and speed through Magic Millions’ TripleS chip technology. The first Gold Coast session produced the fastest breeze of the series, with the Showtime colt out of Mileyva stopping the clock at 10.00 seconds for 200m, ahead of a Kingman colt out of French Dispatch in 10.11 and a Russian Revolution colt out of Don’ttelltheboss in 10.30. Other notable performances came from youngsters by Castelvecchio, Wild Ruler, Stronger, Capitalist, Admire Mars and Earthlight, while the Polytrack segment also produced competitive times headed by a Better Than Ready colt out of Ambar in 10.39. At Scone, 33 youngsters breezed across grass and synthetic surfaces, with a Capitalist colt out of Madeira Bay fastest in 10.65, ahead of representatives by Stronger, Starspangledbanner, Written By, All Too Hard, St Mark’s Basilica, Exceedance and Better Than Ready. The final Gold Coast session on Thursday featured 18 lots, with a Trapeze Artist colt out of Counterplay recording 10.32 on the grass and a Supido filly out of All In A Row stopping the clock at 10.38, while the quickest Polytrack performance came from a Stronger colt out of The Darling in 10.51. Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said the breeze-up performances had been matched by strong pedigrees and athletic types, while emphasising the depth of information available to buyers through the online catalogue. For the first time, eligible two-year-olds purchased at the sale can also be paid up for the Magic Millions Race Series, adding another incentive to a catalogue in which 74 lots are already nominated. Inspections begin at the Gold Coast Sales Complex from Saturday, with seven supplementary lots taking the catalogue to Lot 160 and ensuring Monday’s sale arrives with both depth and momentum across a broad cross-section of sires and vendors.
